Privacy Policy

What Vidoova collects, what it deletes, and the rights you have over your child's data — in plain English.

Last updated: 5 August 2026

The short version
  • We collect as little as we can: a phone number to sign in, and a child's nickname and class — never a full name.
  • The photo of your child's page is deleted the moment the page has been read.
  • Your child's handwriting is never shared with another family, and we never train AI models on your data.
  • You can erase everything, at any time. Questions go to hello@vidoova.com.

Vidoova is a study companion a parent uses with their child. Because it handles a child's schoolwork, we keep the least data we can and delete what we don't need. The company that operates Vidoova is being confirmed; its name, registered office and grievance officer will appear here and on the Contact page.

What we collect

To sign in — your phone number. A one-time code sent to that number is the only way to sign in; there are no passwords.

About your child — a nickname, class, and board (such as CBSE, ICSE or a state board). A nickname, not a full name.

What you scan — photos of the textbook or notebook page. The page is read into text so the app can explain it.

How the app is used — the questions asked in a session and how they were answered, so a parent can review the session and the app can pick up where your child left off.

We show no ads, use no advertising trackers, and do not sell your data.

How your data is used

The page is shared only so it can be read and explained. Along with it goes your child's nickname, so the app can speak to them by name — never your full name, your number, or anything else about your family. To answer by voice, a recording of your child's question is turned into text and answered.

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your child's work is used to help your child — nothing else.

What we delete

Your child's voice recordings are deleted the moment they're transcribed — audio is never kept.

The photo of the page is deleted immediately after the page has been read. We keep the extracted text, not the picture.

Your child's handwriting is never added to the shared library of textbook pages that other families draw on. A page your child has written on stays with your child's account only, and is never served to another family.

Your rights

Trust and safety features will never be the paid tier.

See everything. The app keeps an audit trail — every question your child asked and how it was answered — visible to you.

Erase everything. You can delete your account and its data at any time, and it is removed.

A parent stays in control. Anything beyond the scanned page needs a parent's PIN before the app will go there.

To ask about your data, or to reach our grievance officer, write tohello@vidoova.com or see theContact page.
